A Macintosh Classic is neither classic nor rare. It is not ‘hard to find’ nowadays nor is it likely to be ‘collectable’ or ‘antique’ That is all.

Danica McKellar Is Counting on Girls to Love Numbers

Words By Corey Binns

When a classmate in her freshman math class at UCLA tapped Danica McKellar on the shoulder and asked, “Aren’t you the girl who …” she expected him to quiz her about her role as Winnie Cooper on the iconic television show The Wonder Years. Instead he continued, “… got the best score on the exam?” For the first time, McKellar felt recognized as something other than a child actress.

And then he fucked* her……..

*apologies.

Rather than have a Jackass of the week award ala Gruber. I thought I’d instigate the TWUNT award for being a total TWUNT

TWUNT.png

The inagural award goes to Ashlee Vance writing on The Register. The poor love didn’t get a ticket the WWDC keynote this year. He’s even bought his wife a MacBook Pro so how can Apple not see the value of having him at their developers conference? They let all sorts of ruffians in from less popular sites but for some reason The Register just couldn’t be accommodated. I like how he goes from the Apple PR response of “We appreciate your interest but cannot accommodate your request,” to “We’ve been banned for similar things in the past”.

Now I’m not saying that you haven’t been banned Ashlee but how’s about the possibility that regardless of your purchase of an Apple computer or twelve or saying that Steve Jobs pronounced Jaguar incorrectly that all the seats were gone and Apple simply couldn’t accommodate your request? I was at WWDC last year in the press section and there were just the right amount of seats for bums. Incredibly Apple had a set number of places and they’d filled them.

Using your very popular website to complain about something like this is just unprofessional and nobody out there cares that you couldn’t go to WWDC as there were plenty of reporters that did get to go. They got their news despite your absence.

I’ve also bought a crap load of Apple kit in the last year but I didn’t get an invite for this years event. Must have been something I said. TWUNT.

PETA the organisation that campaigns for the ethical treatment of animals isn’t often on my radar. Neither, to be fair is Gordon Ramsay. Though to be honest I’ve seen more of Mr Ramsay recently.

The BBC is running a story about Gordon crashing a 4×4 whilst herding buffalo in Scotland. A spokeswoman for the show said;

“They went charging around in two 4×4s, and there was a point at which they met,”

Hmm yes that’s a perfect description of a crash.

On to PETA

The story continues;

Ramsay’s TV show got into trouble with animal rights groups last month after horse meat was shown being cooked during his programme.

Protesters from People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals (Peta) dumped a ton of horse manure on the steps of his Claridge’s restaurant following the broadcast.

OH NO THEY DIDN”T! HORSE MANURE? THOSE PESKY BLIGHTERS.

I’d have had more respect if they hadn’t then got accusatory;

Peta accused the programme of mounting a ratings-grabbing “gimmick”.

Gimmick? Like shoving a ton of horse shit on someone’s front door?
