As you may have noticed I’ve recently become a father to a beautiful baby girl. Niamh (pronounced Niamh) has been a joy since she was born and named, it’s her name that’s the subject of this entry. There’s no family connection to her first name it was simply a name that recognised my Irish roots and one we liked. I also loved the idea of her having to spend the rest of her life spelling her name out to people or telling them how to pronounce it. It’s an ice breaker if nothing else.
