3. Apps made specifically for the iPad won't work on the iPhone. You can either ship separate iPad and iPhone apps or combine them into one app and it will run the appropriate UI on both.

8. Assuming they use the same price as Macs, a $599 base Mac Mini is £510 in the UK, so that would probably be the price of the 32GB Wifi only iPad in the UK.

Where do you get 'fired' from? Tony gave over a year's notice, and so did his wife.

I kind of think you're both right :)

As a journalist, every fact is salient. You want - in fact, need - to know everything. The more you know, the more background you have, the better the judgment you can exercise over what is actually news.

BUT... and this is where you're right... just because you know something doesn't mean you publish it.

So take Jobs' liver. It probably came from some completely normal average person, whose family would rather like not to be bothered. But suppose it came from an executed criminal? Suppose it came from Teddy Kennedy? Suppose it came from... whoever? The point is that you don't know if there's a story there until you find out.

Remember: A news story is always the tip of the iceberg. 90% of what goes into a story doesn't appear on the page.

As a Yorkshire lass you have made me laugh out loud.

I like my fish and chips with mushy peas and a buttered teacake.

My southern friends do not understand;

a) Why I like mushy peas with fish and chips (they protest they go with pies)

and

b)Don't 'teacakes' have currants in them?

Gah!

Yes because dinner is in the middle of the day hence the reason schools have 'dinner' ladies not 'lunch' ladies. However, you are right about the dogs. It's a funny old world indeed. Tell me, do you have any regrets?

By tea you mean the one at the end of the day right? In The South we call that one 'dinner', and it's usually just something cheap; gold-plated scones and diamonds, for example, and then we throw the scraps to the dogs. We then slaughter the dogs, just because we can, and buy news ones. We then shave them, batter the hair, and send it up North to be used as so called 'fish and chips'.

It's a funny, funny old world.

DRM is the bane of many people's lives, but perhaps one of the more frustrating aspects of legal software purchases are the silly agreements on CD sleves which proudly state that by opening and using the CD you're agreeing to the terms of the licence, oh, and by the way, you're also tacetly agreeing that you're not going to be able to return the software if it doesn't meet your requirements.

Add to that the frustrating scenario of the apple iTunes App Store, where any amount of money spent on an app to see 'how good it is' is gone forever, into that annoying pit of despair.

Perhaps software licences should be given on a temporary basis which you can revoke if it doesn't meet your requirments... Sigh...

As for piracy. The more you protect something the more people want it. Ditto for price. Make it cheaper, easier to distribute and strangely less people Pirate.
